Trend is the consistant movement of price in one direction.

Short term trend lasts for few hours to days.

Intermediate trend lasts for few weeks to months.

Trend Trader initiates  position in the direction of the intermediate trend  & holds it until there is change in the direction.  Trend trading  makes  maximum profit. Reading charactaristics of trend  on Article page will help you in developing your trading strategy & have a great trend trade.

Support is a price level where buyers are expected to become agressive in a down trend.

Resistance is a price level where sellers are expected to be agressive in an up  trend.

Market Breadth is No. of stocks closing positive / No. of Stocks closing negative.

Breakout is decisive move of price in one direction. The close of Breakout day is generally in the direction of  short term trend & sometimes it starts new medium term trend.  Breakout may be positive or negative and may accelarate the move of the stock. With Breakout Stocks one can have timely entries into dynamic moves. Breakout can fail.

Volume above 500000 indicates heavily traded stocks. The total number of stocks having volume 500000 & more may vary. Short term is vary sensitive. Stock is either in Short term up trend or downtrend. The difference between them gives idea about the broad based short term trend in market. Broad based trend of market may be opposite of that of Nifty.
